Because we want to see more Indigenous Arts Programming developed, directed and delivered in the North! In 2022 the Indigenous Collective was formed.

Our ​Mission and Goals are:


Mission:

To build the framework needed to create an Indigenous Director of Programming position intended to work at arms length and in partnership with the Northern Arts and Cultural Centre (NACC) to deliver meaningful and culturally relevant arts programming in communities throughout the regions of the NWT.
 

 

Goals:

To facilitate access of arts programming for Indigenous artists such as performance opportunities that are rooted in community processes and values through collaboration. 

Working with local members to provide platforms for events and opportunities that showcase local, northern and Indigenous talent, thereby encouraging further involvement in the arts for remote NWT communities.
