The Multi-Disciplinary Performing Arts Mentorship Program
The Multi-Disciplinary Performing Arts Mentorship program is a 10-month virtual program for emerging Indigenous artists across the NWT committed to elevating their artistic skills in one of the areas for music, theatre writing and dance.
Sample styles of artistic play included for each area are:
Music: singing, instrumentalism, song writing.
Theatre writing: playwriting, spoken word artistry.
Dance: interpretive, ballet and contemporary.
Selected mentees will be paired with Indigenous industry professionals where they’ll be guided to push their creative boundaries in their field.
This mentorship will include artistic and business oriented knowledge sessions that will build skills and tools to make well-informed decisions for their careers.
In August of 2025 the Mentees will showcase their work at a public gathering in Yellowknife - so stay tuned for this event!
Indigenous folks from and/or residing in the Northwest Territories are encouraged to apply.
Mentees are provided financial compensation for their participation and completion of this program. This program is intended for those 18 years and older.
Deadline to apply is December 6th, 11:59pm MST.
